A concrete ocean that rages beneath your feet on the seemingly solid sidewalk. A door in your bathtub that leads into a treacherous and twisted mirror mansion. A black market that wheels and deals in stolen and lost emotions. The Tinkerling, strange exotic creatures herded by whisper-warriors. And a palace and a legacy of broad casting splendor, voodoo magic, and sound amplified merry-go-rounds at the end of your very own abandoned city pier.
Welcome to New York, the birth place of Modern Day magic. Year 1990 if you please.

The website is now open, but a little shaky. Feel free to add suggestions or relevant comments.
We've finally decided on a time period. 1990's it is. But don't forget the old 1920's flare!

Tame New York
Times Square The most famous center in all New York. Buy a paper, catch and train. Stop to gaze up at the dazzling lights. Moderator: Admin
The Subway Station The subway station. It's still shinning in all it's former art deco glory. Marble pillars line the walls and sweeping ceilings. Conductors shout and native New Yorkers push and shove to cath the next 11:15. Moderator: Admin

China Town A shadier area of New York. Organized crime often uses the docks to smugle in ivory, gold, and sometimes drugs. The lines between reality and "other-world" are blurred in such a superstitious enviroment. Moderator: Admin
Central Park This is amoung one of the most dangerous places you can go int the city. Day or night it is magically active. Ravenous creatures stalk the innocent straggler, way-ward gargolyes peek out from fountains, and of course the normal danger of being muggled.
It's bound to attract attention since its the most popular tinkerling hunting ground. Moderator: Admin
Personification Station To get tangled in magic you have no business with, just take a metronome put a little of your hair in it and leave it on the side of the sidewalk. Then turn around and turn back. The entrance leading down to the metro will be right there. Buses driven by the Metro-Gnomes will take you anywhere you want to go. Be careful, inanimate objects tend to talk. And try to eat you. Moderator: Admin

Wish Wash A small restraunt most oftenly mistaken as the world's most bizarre speak-easy. The Wish wash is owned and waited by a large variety of Fortune tellers, Genies and the occasional Djinn. Every table is some type of washing machine or dryer. So you may order a smoothie, a vodka, or a plate of strawberry scones while you wait for your socks to bleach and your fortune to be told. The Bastille Where the "Tinkerling" were first sighted. This was once an intellectual hot-spot, night club, and exclusive secret society before it was burned to the ground in a mysterious mass suicide. In it's golden age it was a large brick building nestled near the empire state building. Now it's nothing but a rickety soot blackened frame. Moderator: Admin

Nixed New York
Radio-14 At the end of a rotting misty pier fourteen ancient coper Radio towers sit dusty and leaning inwards in the midst of an abandonned Carnival. The infamous palace turrets of "Radio-14" are surrounded by broken and discarded Merry-go-rounds. Dusty but still seductively beautiful. The Royal family is long gone, but sometimes the strange contraption lights up and emits eerie music that ensnares wayward souls and stragglers forever. Moderators: none

House of Kyoko Through a door in your bathtub lays this endless stretch of gravity defying Mansion. Its covered wall to wall ceiling to ceiling in mirrors. Every mirror mirrors every mirror in the entire world, allowing millions of portals. But beware the deeper you enter...the more emotions you forfeit...Anyone who enters will experience great loss and misfortune. But whisper warriors only hold the keys. Moderator: Admin

Viridescent Sea The Viridescent sea is a raging concrete ocean that lies underneath every side walk and paved road. It is a hybrid of sticky liquid tar, crystaline caves of fools gold, and jagged grey mountains. Gargoyles and statues live, breathe, eat and serve "The Verspertine Queen" who rules the entire vast expanse, of this, their native breeding ground. Beware of stepping in wet cement or you might just fall in! Moderator: Admin

The New York that's never seen but always heard A "nether" New York on the otherside of the looking glass. The flash of refraction you get when light bounces off your favorite pair of shades, or when your reflection seems strangely burred from a quick double take off the side of a building. Every inch of this "opposite" is covered in colored tiles. The trees are tiled. It's the home-town of the Tinkerling, leads to The House Kyoko, and holds the emotional-blackmarket. Moderator: Admin
